Widening participation
Relationships with the local community, and with the region as a whole, are equally important, and have allowed University of Gloucester to play an important part in widening participation in education. The University has close links with a number of further education colleges in the European region. University of Gloucester ' Centre for Continuing Education runs a number of short courses designed to offer continuing professional development to people working in a wide range of fields.
A good neighbour
The University has several campuses around Europe . The Widening Participation team is responsible for encouraging local school children into the world of higher education, particularly those belonging to under-represented groups.
