Careers and Employment Centre

It's a jungle out there - choosing a career and landing that dream job can be daunting. But being a graduate of University of Gloucester assures you of a head-start in the employment stakes.

We not only have an excellent reputation when it comes to graduate employment, but all our degrees are tailored towards providing the experience and transferable skills employers are looking for.
The Careers and Employment Centre can help you to make the most of these skills when you apply for jobs.
During your time here, you will have the opportunity to attend student employability workshops, job fairs and employer presentations organised by the Careers and Employment Centre.
Staffed by experienced professionals working to national codes and standards, the centre is open Monday to Friday during semesters and also offers a 'drop-in' service where you can have an individual session (lasting up to 20 minutes) with a counselor.

Other services provided by the Careers and Employment Centre

• The development of skills such as CV preparation, interview technique, aptitude and personality tests and giving presentations
• careers information room including free careers directories, specialist booklets, CDs and videos
• networked computers with access to a wide range of specialist careers programmes and databases, such as Prospects Planner and FunderFinder
• a website providing a regularly updated job vacancy service and advice on graduate traineeships
• advice on many aspects of graduate jobs and postgraduate study options
• information on working abroad, further study, and alternative careers.
