Upgrade is here to support you with advice on study skills such as planning and writing essays, assignments and dissertations, research, or preparing for an exam. We also give advice on statistics and maths. What we won't do is do your work for you! But we will look at it with you, and advise you on how to proceed.
Upgrade desks are located at all three campuses and students can call in for help at the drop-in times advertised. We may be able to help straight away, or students can book a 30-minute tutorial. All enquiries to our service are treated in confidence.
Starting university level study can seem daunting at first, but at University of Gloucester there is plenty of help and advice available.
Most of our students adapt quickly to university-style teaching and learning in their first semester. They can draw on a wide range of resources to help them with tasks such as writing essays and carrying out research for assignments. These include extensive course materials provided by staff, the library, and a host of online materials.
However, should you find yourself struggling to write an essay or work with data or maths, we have a special advice service available called Upgrade.
